I had no idea that you could take a can of Veg-all and a can of tomato juice and make a quick soup! I don't know what worries me more, the blood red color of the soup or those green beans.
Ah, lovely Veg-All. So versatile! So revolting! I wrote a post on Veg-All once, as used to make a gelatinous vegetable pie, also of 50s vintage. I don't think anyone actually made the pie though.
I'd be inclined to jazz it up a bit further (perhaps some sauted garlic and/or onions, fresh herbs, or rice/small pasta shapes), but that does sound like a handy recipe to have in the stash for those days when you literally can't spare a moment to cook from scratch.
